The Department of Physics and Astronomy UCR, has an ongoing program to create new tools for public outreach through interdisciplinary research with the Departments of Music, Creative Writing and Arts at UC Riverside.

- Astronomers working together with experienced teachers at the California School for the Deaf – Riverside (CSDR), have developed a project aimed specifically to design an astronomy workshop for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
