  • [April 4] Thank you everyone for your submissions. We got over 70 pictures and will be deciding on the 12 best soon!
  • [April 1] The exhibition is due to start at the end of May and run until June 27 at the Orbach Science Library at UC Riverside. Details will be available in the following weeks.

Exhibition:

  • Anytime between June and August 2016.astrophotography
  • At Orbach Science Library, UC Riverside.
  • Exhibition time anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Astrophotographs with or without landscape are allowed.
  • Printing costs would be covered by the Physics and Astronomy Department, UC Riverside.
  • The exhibition is limited to around 12 images only (depending on budget and entries).

 

  • Submissions must comply with:
    • Submitting does not guarantee printing and exhibition of the photograph, the quality of the picture will be reviewed.
    • 4000 x 3000 pixels in size (or similar), needed for large-sized print.
    • Complete description:
      • Name of astrophotographer.
      • ISO.
      • Exposure time.
      • Date.
      • Place.
      • Celestial object.
      • Instruments used.
      • Email address.
    • Must not contain watermarks or signatures of any kind.
    • Is free of copyright to allow exhibition.

 

  • Rights:
    • Due credit will be given to the author in the printed picture.
    • The Physics and Astronomy Department does not hold any rights to the pictures.
    • The printed images might tour Riverside and surrounding counties if the exhibition is offered on loan to surrounding schools, colleges and public libraries. Always at no cost for viewing.
    • The printed exhibition remains the property of the Physics and Astronomy Department UCR for educational and non-profit use only.
    • The University of California Riverside is not responsible for any cancellation of the event, damage to the printed photographs, or claimed rights on photographs used in the exhibition.
    • The exhibition is exclusively for educational purposes.
