Kyle D. Hiner

I defended my PhD dissertation at UC Riverside in August 2012. I worked with Dr. Gabriela Canalizo to investigate the relationships between supermassive black holes and their host galaxies. We examined the M-sigma relation in both red quasars and in post-starburst quasars.

After graduating, I accepted a fellowship from the California Council on Science and Technology. I worked in the CA Legislature on the Senate Energy, Utilities, and Communications Committee as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow.

My hobbies include running/soccer, coffee roasting, and dragon slaying.
